The Marketing Science Measurement team is seeking an experienced leader to help advertisers understand the business impact of their investments on Instagram, including brand equity measurement, audience research relevant for advertisers, and the development of advertising best practices. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a budding advertising business.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills in English and Japanese, strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, deep understanding of statistics, the desire to get out on the front lines of brand advertising, and a passion for generating data-based insights. This role will challenge the candidate to set the Instagram marketing science strategy for Asia, provide strategic direction to major brand advertisers on their advertising approach, work deeply with the external research industry, and develop actionable insights for marketing on the Instagram platform. Applicants should have a passion for Instagram and be self-motivated. This is a full time position based in our Tokyo office.
7+ years of relevant experience, media research experience and general love of data and numbers
Advanced degree in psychology, statistics, economics, behavioral or social science or a related quantitative field preferred
Excellent statistical and data analysis skills (e.g. significance testing, regression modeling, etc.)
Track record of operating independently, demonstrating strategic thinking & creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
Passion for Instagram
Direct experience working with large data-sets
Solid track record of inspiring action based on data-driven insights
Experience using SPSS, SAS, R, Matlab, or similar statistical packages
Familiarity with survey research methods and considerations
General knowledge of advertising and/or measurement methods and technologies is a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
